Figure Grain Jewelry Organizers

I love jewelry. Periodt. Earrings, necklaces, bracelets and rings. Even body jewelry but that’s for another post. Over the past few years, my earring and necklace collection have outgrown my jewelry box (which is a vintage, metal storage box from a pop-up antique sale here in Chicago) and if you’ve ever had to untangle a clump of necklaces before, you know that one time is enough. I’ve lost a lot chains after getting frustrated and just pulling them apart.

Before buying my condo in August 2020, I bought a cheap-o wall organizer from Amazon and I hated it from the minute I put it together and Command Strip-d it to the wall, but it got everything out of a drawer and hanging, so I went with it. I told myself that I had to upgrade to something better because I DESERVE it and tossed the old one into the dumpster. Here I am in September 2021 (yea… a year later) and I finally pulled the trigger and purchased 2, custom organizers from Etsy. These beauties are made by Figure Grain—a small company out of Los Angeles—and are totally stunning.

I went through every organizer imaginable on Amazon and I never found something that fit my aesthetic and had the functionality and organization that I needed. I wear a lot of statement earrings—post and pendant—and love a long necklace. I needed hooks, cork (for posts), shelves and rods and I always gave up after 20-30 minutes of looking because nothing was perfect. As soon as I saw these, I put them in my cart.

I actually purchased two different organizers, both in canary wood, to make sure I was ticking all the boxes. I already knew one wouldn’t be enough and I didn’t want something obnoxiously huge. So two, medium-sized pieces was the way to go.

To be completely honest, I forgot I ordered them until I got the notification that they had shipped and as soon as I opened the boxes, I dug them. They’re gorgeous, sturdy, smell like freshly-stained wood and are perfect for displaying my collection. Peep those statement pieces from Ask & Embla on the hooks… those NEED to be seen.

These wall-mounted, floating jewelry organizers are made with solid, exotic canary wood, brass rods and brass hooks. Canary wood comes from all over South America. It is a uniquely beautiful wood that contains a prism of natural colors from bright yellow, orange, red and purple. The wood’s properties are similar to walnut, so is (apparently) any woodworker’s dream. They are dowel-joined (no nails or screws) and lend themselves to displaying your bobbles with a Bohemian/Scandinavian flare. Figure Grain has multiple different types and colors of wood and are made-to-order.

Hanging hardware is included but mounting the triangle organizer was definitely a little tricky. I would recommend using a measuring tape, level, and tracing the shape of the piece onto a piece of paper, marking the hanging holes and using this to ensure a level hang. (Mines a little bit off but if you’re walking into my bedroom to critique how straight my jewelry organizer is, you’re walking into my bedroom for the wrong reasons.)

Check out Figure Grain and throw them some follows/likes on Instagram. If you’re in the market for something unique, handmade and beautiful, I think you’ll definitely be satisfied.
